Soybean harvest begins in Arkansas

Soybean harvest began last week in Arkansas.

The USDA reports as of Sunday 1% of the crop is harvested, slightly ahead of the five-year average with 72% of the crop rated good to excellent.

Corn harvest is 43% complete with 69% of the crop in good to excellent condition.

Rice harvest is 24% complete with 76% considered good to excellent.

49% of cotton bolls are opening with 67% of the crop rated good to excellent.

8% of peanuts are dug and the second cutting of hay is 90% finished.

All crops continue to progress ahead of average.
