Thai cheese retailers to visit Wisconsin

A research facility will show foreign dairy buyers what goes into making U.S. dairy products.

The Center for Dairy Research at the University of Wisconsin Madison will be hosting six cheese retailers and cheese marketing specialists from Thailand starting January 18th.  Along with touring the Center for Dairy Research, the buyers will visit dairy farms, cheese factories, specialty cheese shops, large retail grocery chains, restaurants, and bars to learn how many dairy products are used and marketed.

The program was organized by UW–Madison College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, the state’s agriculture department, and Wisconsin cheese industry representatives with funding from USDA’s Foreign Ag Service.
