Two Nebraska coops announce merger plans
Two central Nebraska coops are exploring a possible merger.
The boards of directors of Gothenburg-based All Points Cooperative (APC) and Country Partners Cooperative (CPC) of Spalding have signed a letter of intent to merge the two organizations, pending a vote of the membership of each cooperative later this year.
In a joint news release, coop officials say unification will “position the cooperatives for the long term while ensuring local ownership and control”. They say members will benefit from better assets, net savings, programs and customer service, and improved access to resources and expertise.
All Points has 13 locations while Country Partners lists nine locations.
