The United States and China have a new partnership designed to facilitate dairy and food innovation.

Jiangnan University’s Vice President Xu Yan and U.S. Dairy Export Council President and CEO Tom Vilsack signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) Friday, March 30th creating the U.S.-China Dairy Innovation Center at China’s top food science school.

The U.S. Dairy Export Council says the memorandum of understanding will encourage China-friendly product formulations using dairy ingredients from the U.S.  They also say the agreement helps U.S. dairy suppliers become more engaged and responsive to the Chinese food industry and provide Jiangnan University’s dairy science students additional hands-on research and career opportunities.
