U.S., China trade officials will continue talks soon

A U.S. delegation is planning to continue trade talks with Chinese officials in Beijing the second week of January.

Bloomberg reports that the delegation will be led by Deputy U.S. Trade Representative Jeffrey Gerrish.

Earlier this month, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said both countries are working on “documenting an agreement” before the March 1st deadline.

U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer has said if they don’t come to an agreement by then, the administration will follow through on its threat to raise tariffs on $200 billion worth of Chinese goods.
