“Undercover Boss” visits a California dairy farm

Brad Scott

Scott Brothers Dairy is a 1,000-cow dairy farm in southern California. The farm processes its own milk for fluid and cultured products. Brad Scott is the fourth generation on the farm and has served the past six years on the National Dairy Board. The farm is about an hour-and-a-half east of Los Angeles and has become a show-place for dairy farms and animal agriculture. Tours are welcome and the Scotts work hard to portray a positive image.

Recently they had the unique opportunity to host a segment of the CBS Television series; “Undercover Boss”. The farm supplies frozen yogurt mix to Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, a Los Angeles-based chain with more than 350 locations around the world. Menchie’s Chief Executive Officer, Amit Kleinberger went undercover to visit some of the yogurt stores and also came to the farm to see if they were a good fit to supply frozen yogurt mix to his franchise. Brad was the only person on the farm who knew what was going on and was very pleased with how things went.

  • So, when will the dairy farm episode air? I don’t watch Undercover Boss very often, but I’ll be sure to watch this one.

  • We have had a number of requests re: the program, I put a note at the end of the story, it aired 10/25 but is available from the CBS website and have included a link to it. The farm segment is about halfway through the show. Thanks, Bob
