USDA issues National Agricultural Classification Survey

The USDA is preparing for the 2017 Census of Agriculture and nearly one million farmers and ranchers will receive the National Agricultural Classification Survey (NACS) this month.

This survey – conducted by the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service – helps to identify all active farms and ranches in the United States and will be used to determine who receives a Census of Agriculture questionnaire next December.

Farmers and ranchers who receive a survey are asked to respond by January 30th 2017.
