VanDerWal new Minnesota State Cattlemen’s Association director
The Minnesota State Cattlemen’s Association has a new executive director.
Association president Mike Landuyt says Allison VanDerWal, a May 2019 graduate of the University of Minnesota, will work on existing Minnesota Cattlemen initiatives, and he’s excited to have her.
VanDerWal grew up on her family’s feedlot, and her degree is in ruminant nutrition. She completed her masters working for the Feedlot Nutrition Research Group and Iowa Beef Center.
She says she went to graduate school because of a love for learning and applying knowledge to production agriculture.
VanDerWal, who starts her new position in April, will also manage Minnesota’s Beef Quality Assurance program.
