A visit with GMO expert Dr. Wayne Parrott
Dr. Wayne Parrot is considered one of the nation’s foremost experts on the development, use and safety of transgenic, or genetically modified (GM), crops.
Parrott, who is a professor in the Department of Crop and Soil Sciences, College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences at the University of Georgia, took part in a panel discussion on GMOs at last month’s Food Dialogues: Iowa event in Ames. Prior to the event, Brownfield had the opportunity to visit with Parrot about some of the big issues surrounding GMOs.
