Winter wheat harvest in Kansas at a crawl due to rain, storms

Winter wheat harvest has been significantly delayed due to severe storms and rainfall.

The USDA says 71 percent of the crop has been harvested compared to it being wrapped up by this time.

Corn condition is rated 64 percent good-to-excellent with 55 percent silking.

Soybeans are 58 percent good-to-excellent with 68 percent blooming.

Pasture and range conditions are 38 percent good-to-excellent.

Topsoil moisture is 57 percent adequate-to-surplus and subsoil moisture is 45 percent adequate-to-surplus.
