CME dairy prices mixed Friday

Near-term milk futures were down and cash dairy prices were mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Friday.

July Class Three milk was down $.02 at $14.19.   August was down $.23 to $14.61. September was down $.05 to $15.42.  October was up $.03 to $15.87. The milk futures from November through next June ranged from zero to fourteen cents higher.

Grade AA Butter was unchanged at $2.25 per pound.  Two carloads sold at $2.2475 and $2.25.

The spread between blocks and barrels widened.  Barrels were down $.0450 at $1.27 per pound. No sales were recorded.

 Forty-pound blocks were down $.0125 to $1.52 per pound.  One carload sold at that price.

Nonfat dry milk up $.0175 at $.7850 per pound.  Four carloads sold from $.7825 to $.7850.

Dry whey was unchanged at $.42 cents per pound.  No sales were recorded.
